What's My Tire Width & Height?

Understanding how to read your vehicle's tire width (also called cross section) and tire height is simple. First, check your car's tire information on the driver's side door jamb, on the sidewalls of your current tires, or in the owner's manual. In each location you should see a series of letters and numbers that look similar to 165-80-R13. In this example, your tire width would be 165 and your tire height would be 80. The tire width is the first number in the series and the height is the middle number.
